RE: arkansas hunters
I have hunted Hobbs, if it is low-pressure you are looking for then this aint the place for you. The bowhunting area is fairly low pressure but if you get a permit for gun or ml then you had better find your spot and be there around midnight to get it on opening day.
Madison Co. WMA is full of deer. I have only hunted it once several years ago. We drove out there one night, set up camp, and hunted the next day. I had never been there before. I set up my stand in the dark not knowing a thing about the area. 45 mins after daylight, I killed a nice 6 pt with my bow. For some reason I have never been back...
Good luck finding private land. I was lucky enough to meet a guy in college that his family owns 1600 acres just inside of Madison Co. Everyone has either died or moved away and I am the only one that hunts it more than once per year. There are four of us with keys to the land and we have vowed to only allow family to hunt there.

I was raised in NLR(Sherwood-when there was still woods in Pulaski cty...) My Dad got transfered to STL, MO and my folks still live there. I'm in San Diego now and envy everyone back in AR & MO because of the great hunting. I guess you don't know what you've got till it's gone.

I live in Lockesburg, close to Horatio and DeQueen. The only problem with Dickey Dunn is his unfortunate association with David Hibbs! I spent a large part of my youth on the losing side of baseball scores, due in large part to The Halter boys in Horatio.

I am an Arkansan and proud to be. I live in a small town (not really since we got a mickey d's) but we like to think of it as small. I live in sheridan, voted as the redneck capitol of Arkansas by Magic 105. And I must admit, I am one of them. oh, and titan312, I knew H.B.AR! I thought of him as a 'mentor' on here. ask him if he remembers a dude named 'bigfootbuck'.

Has anyone had any luck this bow season. I have not got to hunt much this season but going this Wed. if not raining to hard. I have not heard of to many deer being killed this year but this lower temp. might change that. Good luck.

Haven't had any luck yet P-Tone. I've been out twice and seen a total of 9 deer. Just couldn't get close enough to any of them. I'm headed out tomorrow too. It's felt good out there, hopefully it'll get the deer moving some.

Hey guys I am a native arkie hailing form the El Dorado area. Actually Junction City, well thats wheere I went to school. I lived in Caledonia. Bout as far south as you can go w/o getting into Louisiana. Wound up in OKC and just never left. Its not the piney woods and river bottoms but its alright. The football team is better anyway.
Hey is the Fouke monster still around? Is there a bowseason on him? Is it legal to take him?
Hey, size may not matter but it sure IS nice!
