HUGE Arkansas buck killed
Huge mass, points, beam length ......... an older age class buck that comes fomr a non-agricultural area with lower deer numbers and high hunting pressure.
Unreal ! That kid killed a once in a lifetime buck - wish i could even SEE a buck like that in AR !

Came from Newton County, right above where I'm at here in Pope. Ozark Nat Forest or Buffalo River? I don't know for sure, but I heard about this buck earlier today.
I wasn't sure if it's the same one, but I would bet my bottom dollar it is.
The sign in the back says "sper hall."
It has to be Jasper.

Oh man thats a management buck!!!!!!
should have let him grow another year!
I agree with fro i bet the pic was taken in jasper. we really don't need to advertise deer like this cause then everybody will rush here to hunt!
Like i try and tell my yuppie suburban hunters let them grow up and theres no telling what they become.
This deer has been on the news i saw it on KATV 7 three times. boy maybe i could be so lucky.

I thought about that too - advertising Arkansas as the Big Deer state - LOL, anyone who's hunted up in those hills knows that you can go all day and not see a deer - several days in a row ! Low deer densitites, high public land hunting pressure .......... my guess ? This buck came off an old 40 acre home stead near a small town where no one ever thought to hunt. Kid comes along and hunts where he's not really suppose to see a big deer and there you go !
This buck has serious age - and for a non agricultural area to have mass like that ? I'm betting he lived near a cattle farm and ate all grain and liked sorgum blocks

That is a good buck rapidcash.
Me and another guy are after one of that caliber or better. i saw him one night during thanksgiving week and he saw (what we think is the same buck) a few after i did. the area near where he was seen has some real THICK cover and we found some very impressive rubs in it. this guy has hunted kansas and colorado and he says the deer is 160 to 170 class i dunno?? i would say 150 easy. he has consumed me!!!!!
I guess with modern gun winding down i'll start trying with a bow.
who says arkansas can't produce some good bucks???????
