Fort Stewart Hog Hunting
I have read on this forum that there are a lot of hogs in FT Stewart. I recently killed my first hog with an outfitter and loved it. I am in Va, so really no place to hunt them up here. Can someone give me some info on Stewart, best time of year, locations, can youuse ladder stand? Can you use rifle? etc.
I appreciate any tips....thanks

I also live in Va. I live in the tidewater area, Gloucester County.

I went on my first hog hunt with an outfitter in NC . http://www.buffalocreekguideservice.com/. I highly recommend giving Johnny Dale a call. I have been twice with him now and both times, I had a great hunt.

Email me if you want, I live in VA as well and go to Stewart every year to hog hunt for the last 9 years. I can give ya all the details you need and let you know when we go, sometimes I have gone alone and other time there has been as many as 13 of us from VA down there.

I hunt hogs at Stewart regularly. I will be headed back home after along deployment. With hogs you simply find the food sometimes easier said then done. August and September is a good time I will be scouting some when I get back in July. I ussually do real good in summer before deer season starts.
