Anyone have any luck??

I went out to my usual public land spot (Altus-Lugert), and I managed to get outsmarted by two does.....twice. I did call one of them within 10 feet of me. I was sitting in some bushes wating to ambush her, but she came up behind me. She must have seem me move a little because she stomped and it scared the crap out of me.

No luck with the deer but I did manage to see a golden eagle, that made the trip worth while. I also had at least 800-1000 american white pelicans fly about 20 ft over my head. that was cool. I still have not harvested a deer from out there but I always see something or stumble across something that makes the trip worth while.

I think this coming weekend we may head up to Black Kettle and give it a go up there.

Oh yeah, the doc pushed inducing my wife's labor till the 11th. He said he couldnt get it scheduled, the nurse told her that "he is a big OU fan, put 2 and 2 together". Its Texas -vs- OU weekend, Oh well give me a few more day to try and put some meat in the freezer.
