Mike .I hunt in central Florida and I wear those La Crosse boots. They are great for the wet lands we have here..I'm on my 3rd year and they still don't leak.Cost about 59.00
If all goes well I may be hunting north Florida as well...since they have many diamond backs..I will probably invest in a quality pair of snake boots from Cabelas..about 200.00 I say quality because I bought some 70.00 snake boots..lasted about 2 months.

I have a pair of ROcky snake boots that i have worn for years. The soles are more like a tennis shoe than boot whick makes them more comfortable. I used to wear rubber boots but these seem more comforatable plus they are safer and keep the water out. It is also nice to keep your pants tucked in. I havent seen as many snakes since bought them asI did before I got them which is reason enough for me to keep wearing them. I think that snakes being cold blooded are out sunning themselves more in the winter than summer.

I would at least during bow season. I have killed a poisonous snake the last two weekends I have been in the woods. I have a pair of snakeproof rubber boots I bought from cabelas that I prefer.

I have a "cheap" pair from Bass Pro that I bought for about 70-80 bucks. I have worn them for the last couple of yoears with no problems. I don't wear them always, but if out by my self, I do. They give me a level of security and comfort when trampling through the brush.
