To heck with the 5 day muzzleloader season they allow now before the start of rifle season when it's hot and the hunting sucks.
Same here in FL

I live in North Alabama and the deer here have started chasing already. I dont know if it has anything to do with the weather thats all screwed up or what. Like many of you have said its most time in Jan when we see this action........ Go figure??????????????

It sure sounds like there should be some just massive bucks wondering around in Alabama since you can't get out there during the rut. Some of them there huge bucks are nocturnal all year and the only time you would get a shot at one would be during the "Big Chase". It's awfull nice having a bow season open here in Arkansas till the end of Feb.. They even extended it 2 weeks later this year.... Maybe eventually they'll make the bow season here half a year long!!!! Man I would be in serious Hog Heaven if that would ever happen!!!!! Well, good luck to you this season.....and Have a Very Merry X-Mas and a Great New Year!!!!!

1on1,I think you guys killed to many does last year!

It wouldn't hurt my feelings if AL would start their season later. Bow season opener Nov1 or even Nov15...Maybe have a 3 day gun for turkey weekend, and then general gun not open till Dec 15 through Feb 15 or something. It's so hot in Oct I almost hate hunting anyways.I did say almost. I still go and fight the mosquitos.

HAHAHA, I've never in my life seen that.Maybe it'san antlered doe....? That's what that buck's telling himself anyways, haha. Anyways the weather is really frustrating me down here in Alabama, but there's never a season where the weather's on our side. We should all push for a February bow season, I think it will eventually happen. Good luck to all y'all.
