RE: To Green Swamp Hunters
Thanks Ifly,
I was out there this morning ..found my first scape this year. The Rockridge is still 21 deer ...and 64hogs I did hear a couple of shots on Tram though this morning. I plan to try one more day, My wife and I have a bug and i don't want to pass it on to the children at church so I might as well sit in my stand.

RE: To Green Swamp Hunters
It's probably a few more than 25..I ran out of gas physicallylast thursday..been pushing my luck hunting so much after my second open heart. I started back hunting 4wks. after the by-passes and have been goinghunting about 5 times a wk. Just have to keep my walk to area around a mile...and hunt close in the afternoon. It really limited my versitillity when it came to carrying my climbers a long way to move around a lot like a I like to do. I hunted a lot of places more than I wanted just because of that. I got a doe with compound..the wk before surgery and should have killed two bucks during gun season. One big trophy buck my handgun didn't go off had him dead to right at 5yds. broadside and I missed a small 8pt. at about 35yds. broadside with my wby 240mag rifle. It was 8wks after the surgery and I wasn't supposed to shoot a gun for 10wks.(that's why I was hunting with handgun..figured I could shoot it if shot off a rest to keep recoil going up insteadof back to me)and was a little leary..but I really missed it cause it was chasing a doe and they were behind me in some thick stuff with two openings..the doe went through on a trot and here he came and I couldn't get him to stop..finally I grunted with my mouth real loud and he stopped in the last opening and I rushed the shot thinking he was going to take off. Anyway thesurgery didn't work and have to go back in for more..but told the Dr. I wasn't going till after deer season..so I may give it one more shot in the morning.

SO, how did it go? Did you guys get together? I was lurking on this thread, being in Clermont, but I was behind on a work project and didn't get to go hunting at all in Jan. I got my quota ticket for Spring Turkey though!
