funky squirell

Default funky squirell

last squirell season i bagged a light red squirell. It was a gray squirell...just not gray... ever seen this ?? what could it have been....Mounted it!

things like that can change color just like rabbits that are brown in summer and white in winter, Im sure squirrels are capable of similar things.

It was a colour phase of a grey. Just like you can get black greys as well. I have head of hybrids (fox x grey) but havent seen them to my knowledge, that could be a possiblity also i guess.

I have seen squirrels that range in color from white to black in grays . I had a friend that I feed from my deer tree stand a fox ,that was light red ,almost pink .

It was a west virginian traveler thats what my grampa called one when i killed it. He said they kinda rare he has one kille one and he has been hunting squirrel since 1950.

it's kinda what you're talking about, but i gotta "blonde" squirrel right around my house this past year. . . . . .weirdest thing i thought, but now there is another one

I saw a squirrel one year in buck season that had a black head, black paws and a black belly everthing else was grey. It looked like he was wearing a ski mask and gloves. They can come in funky colors i guess

down in Illinois where i hunt we got a couple squirrels that are half black half red they are pretty cool.

sounds like a grey/fox squirrel hybrid we got alot of those in missouri.
