Default .30-06 Rollin and runnin

I been shooting coyotes with a .30-06, either 150gr Win. Supreme ballistic Silvertips CXP1, or 150gr Win Sup. X partition Gold. The Bal.s do a lot of internal damage, but don't exit cuz they blow up, the partitions do little damage but exit small so there is little pelt damage. I've had trouble with a few coyotes, 3-4 that I've rolled, then they get up and run a half mile to a mile before finally dropping. I put at least one through the lungs, and another left his entrails where I shot him.
Am I just hitting them so hard they don't know they are dead????

sounds like your punching through and not hitting any thing solid . A partition bullet in that caliber is not designed for something that small so the bullet doesn't have time to expand . Try a hornady Vmax if you handload ,they seem to stop them pretty well .
