I dont really do a super lot of varmit hunting but am getting more into lately..but i do love my 22-250. I have it in a Thompson Center encore, Its a 26" heavy rifle brl. and with a big as scope its pretty damn deadly out to 150+ yards(not sure farther than that due to limited shooting distance where i practice). One bad thing (for some) ive heard people say about it is that its single shot...but i wouldnt have it any other way...its more challenging and i think its more rewarding making akill with a single shot...but anyways go with the .22-250 you wont be sorry
