Default pole cat...... stinky

we hit a warm spell for a few days here in tennessee.the pole cats are out and running around.i was out coon hunting and almost got it bad. i was lucky.


go deep hunt hard.

sprayed. a pole cat is another word for skunk around here in tennesee.

Darn skunks. Its even bad shootin em caus then everything lets loose. no way to get rid of em. heard something that if u can catch em by the hind legs they cant spray. idk how they figgered that out but wow

There is a little round hole under the tail and if you sneak up on them and jam a finger in that hole they may not spray either he he he he. Tell us how it works ok? Nuff funny stuff but truthfully if you shoot them just behind the front leg with a .22 usually they will just lay down and die without spraying. This is a lung shot a shot in the head is about a sure bet that they will curl up and spray.

personally i stay away from em. i dont go lookin for em. it ll be my luck to actually find one

I get them in traps on the line all of the time. The dang things like to eat anything so it' s hard not to catch them. I unload the shotgun on em.
