My sons first Yote..So. Fla
Went to the farm to shoot and fill feeders. The weather and the wind were perfect for both our set ups so we decided to get in the stands around 3 PM. And fill the feeders after the hunt. I sat in the front pasture as Danny and his uncle went to the back one. At 4:30, a few pigs came out of the swamp to my right at about 80 yds and I put the smack down on one with a 300 win mag between the eyes. No meat ruined on this one. About 45 minutes later I here a shot just south of me and a good thump. Then I get a text, "dead dog". Danny killed his first Yote with his 243 @ 95 yds. DRT. He said that it came out of the back corner and was trotting across the pasture. He readied his rifle and his uncle stopped him with a whistle. That's all it took....great afternoon to be in the woods

Those are nice pics, your boy has the happy hunter grin and the song dog is a healthy speciman. I'm intent on taking my 1st coyote this year, and though I'm older, still get that grin that comes with getting my "1st" critter.
We don't have the pigs where I'm at in Norther Alabam, but hear they're a coming. They've translocated some black bear just 10 mile of us, not to sure about that.

That smile tells the whole story alright.
Yep, it is the same kind of smile we all had when we shot our first one - no matter how old we were !!!
Looks like he hit him/her well - my first opportunity, I could get my heart rate (breathing) under control. LOL
Keep up the good work.
