RE: Black Squirrel
We have a bunch of ' em here in western Massachusetts. Saw my first when I moved here in the mid ' 60' s. Was told that Stanley Home Products (local business)had imported them from Australia. (I believed that!) But, after reading the messages here, I guess that ain' t so(either that or they stocked the whole damn country...lol). I had a friend request that I get one for him...which I did. He mounted it arm wrestling on a stump w/ a gray. (cute). You can use the tails to tie some nice flies with also. They also taste the same as a grey.

RE: Black Squirrel
The first black squirrels I ever saw were in Western Massachusetts. They seemed to be clustered in Westfield. Saw quite a few while attending Westfield State College. Also saw a lot of ' em at Tekoa Mountain. Seemed to be more stout that than the greys. Never did bag one.

RE: Black Squirrel
Tons and Tons of them , I seen the fattest one the other night 3/4' s the size of a rabbit. Hope that don' t mean its going to be a long winter. Corn fields are the best for them. Public lands are full of them here...BT
