trapping tricks for fox/coyotes
1. If you have a fox or coyote that is to smart to get caught try this one it works great. I had an old red that use to love to leave me a nice steaming pile every two to three days but this fixed him. When you make your dirt hole set dig two holes about 6-8 inches apart and six inches in front of the trap. bait both holes, not to much, and put some rabbit fur in one. The smart ones soon become stupid.
2. Best bait I found was catching mice in the summer, by the dozens, throw them into canning jars with lids, put the jars in ziplock bags and leave in the sun until reduced to liquids! This is one lure that works great, but use sparingly. Use at dirt hole sets and I had great luck putting a little under a tuff of hay or straw and using that as a scent post putting gland lure on the top. Works great, especially in Jan. & Feb.
