Bobcat opens this Thursday in Socal..........................

Any tips you can share ?

Thanks for your help !

BTW - Mixed heavy cover, rock enclaves and very hilly with large open areas.

I will be using my .204 40 gr.V-max; unless it's windy, then I will use my .243 75 gr.V-max

be very observant. More times than not a bobcat will get to a point that it can look over the area, and that's as far is it will come. It'll just sit in one spot for a long time, without moving, and they usually blend in very well, and if you don't look close, you won't even know there was one around.

Try using a decoy such as the mojo critter and an electronic call that u can put next to the decoy at least 50 yards from you. Stay hidden well and try to stay in the shade so the sun doesn't reflect off anything. They hunt mainly by detecting movement, so if you dont have a decoy hang a chicken wing in a spot where they will see it.
