What do you guys think about H&R's Handi-rifle? I'm thinking about getting one for coyotes.

Hey ostdc I am planning on getting a NEF Handi rifle, pretty much the same gun for coyotes also. I have heard they are excellent shooters, and are pretty inexpensive. I am planning on putting a bipod on mine. I would also like to know what people think about this rifle? Thx

Did i post this in the wrong forum? I want it for fox and coyote, but should it have been in "guns"?

One of the guys I hunt with uses the Handi-rifle in 223rem for coyotes and I get tired of listening to him brag about it . you would think they didn't make any other gun .It is very accurate I will say that .

i would bob, many times when you see one coyote there's at least one more lurking around somwhere.if two are in sight and you shoot one, give out a wounded dog call and the other one will(most times)stop and look back.if you have to reload first the second coyote may be out of range or sight.go for the bolt action, its quicker getting that second round in the chamber.

If you practice at it, you can reload a break-open single shot almost as fast as you can cycle a bolt. I keep a couple of spare rounds between the fingers of my left hand.

Can these be found at most gun shops, or are they pretty rare?
