Take the two (Foxpro, and Minaska) apart and you will soon see which is made better. Foxpro's are all soldered mother boards, and connections. the others, all others...... are glued. Drop one in the severe cold and see what happens to the glued connections. foxpros service is superior as well. just a rant, but it is something to think about. Money well spent, I think..

Yep, the old saying.... you gat what you pay for could"nt be more true in this case. I think any of the big ones are probeblly pretty good, I just liked what I read about the tones of the Johnny Stewart. It has worked well for me.

you are also able to go wireless with the new preymaster for about $200 if you dont want to spend about $500 for a FoxPro,but I still love mine,I used the preymaster for years until I decided that predator hunting wasn't just a phase that I was going through,it was something I was going to do for life,so it's all about how much you want to invest, johnny stewart, foxpro, maniska, extreme dimensions, western rivers, burnham brothers and many others make good calls.Go to a sporting goods store and check them out and ask to hear them(if they dont have a display model, they should open up a new one and let you try it out, after all you are the one that is about to give'em the benjamin's for it) check out several I have and they are not all equal,so do some research about warranties, volume, sound quality, battery life, weather resistance, and durability and packability, you dont want one that has to much to carry.good luck in your desicion and good hunting!!PS check about sound availability with some you are limited to just a few.
