Yea Kyle, go to cabelas and get a Johnny Stewart. Wow to make one by hand, I don"t know why you would need to. You can get a good hand call for just a few bucks that will work good right out of the package.

RE: HELP ON CALLING
Go get yourself a live rabbit or chicken, set up, then squeeze the bait, thell make the call!LOL, just kidding!, for the price of what calls cost, like yodeldog3 said, just go out and buy them. If you are wanting to make them as a hobby, buy one and take it apart to figure out what you need to make.

RE: HELP ON CALLING
making your own call can be a challenge, but the rewards of using it successfully in the field makes it worth it. I've made over 100 hand calls from cow horn, deer antler, and wood, both enclosed and open reeds. When I get home frow work, I'll post a few pics. of some calls I've made.
I'll do my best to answer any specific questions you might have. I'd suggest making an enclosed reed call first, it'll be easier than making an open reed for the simple fact that getting the mouth piece on an open reed just right can be very tricky.
