Cat Man Doo:Shooting Sticks,etc
Cat Man Doo:I lke your shooting sticks.Shooting sticks or Bi-Pod: 5/8" or 3/4" square by 36" long, attach with a 1/4" wing nut and washers(I add a lock washer)to pivot at 5". Drill the bottom of the sticks for a headless nail with at least 2" sticking out.Camo paint the sticks.Pad the sticks with any thing that works where your rifle will rest. The same material the you use on your bow works fine, camo tape, leather also. Go to www.varmital.com for a good informational site and yote calls.Your camo looks good,CMD,I lke the Preditor pattern.Congrats on the coyote. You actually talked your budget watcher into a 4x4,new shooter, camo's and more...and then got her to take pictures of you....you're my hero brother, what you been puttin' in her coffee??

seabuck-
Here's a pic of my home made sticks. At the bottom I just sharpened the wood, but your right, not good enough on the frozen bare ground as they don't stand up well unless the ground has snow or soft dirt. The nail or spike on the bottom is a good idea. I just stained mine but camo would be a nice touch too. Might get the airbrush out for a touch up. I need to make another pair and paint them white for the snow days.
My wife does put up with alot, but the key is she has the same check book, but the real advantage we as hunters have is "boy toys" always cost more!
Other thing is I can't seem to talk her into using her little dog a coyote calling decoy, maybe put the little bigger in a bunny suit.
New pots and pans....$114.00
New .233 w/scopoe....$379.00
See the difference heh <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
