RE: night vision scopes anyone
How about... save the bucks and just use a scope with good light gathering and a heavier duplex?
I use to head shoot cottontails with my dad's ancient 22 savage mounted with a 2 power weaver. Won't work in canopy forest, but will in fields.

RE: night vision scopes anyone
I'd agree . My night vision was a waste of money . They are cool , and your friends will be impressed . But I havn't really come across a situation that it was NEEDED. An illuminated reticle in a low power scope will be good for most of your night hunting . As a hobbyist shutterbug ,,, I've never tried anything like that . Good luck .
