Default Geeze I hate for my first post to be a question

I was reading you guys talking about kinetic hammers and am embarrased to admit that although I have been reloading since 2002 my kinetic hammer is laying in the bottom of a box unused because I couldn't figure out how to use the thing.

I have kept my bullets that need to be pulled seperated so that I can safely reclaim the powder.

Any on-line instructions on how to use the thing?

Thanks in advance.

Is it the RCBS type?

If so, loosen the cap on top and push a loaded shell in, "nose first". The jaws under the cap need to catch in the grove that the "rifle's extractor" uses to pull the shell out of the chamber of your rifle.

Once that's in place, tighten the cap back up and use the puller like a hammer, pounding on something solid untill the bullet comes out. You will soon learn how many times to pound it, and how hard, for the bullet to come out.

"If" you have more questions, come on back here and ask them.

Howdy! and welcome to the forums.

Unfortunately, I learned how to use one right after I got my reloader. DM's instructions pretty much cover it. Stick the bullet in and whack the he// out of it. I would add to hit it on something wooden if you want it to last longer.

I'll be back questions or not, seems like a good bunch to hang out with.

From one North Texan to another, I should have done the same, but I just bagged up what few I messed up and kept track of what the recipe was, fully intending to ask this question every time I open that drawer. :-P

Thanks again Men!
