Anyone got their Hornady Manual handy?
I just picked up a box of 230gr XTP-HP (.451cal) for my .45ACP cheap, but I don't have any data for that bullet.
Could someone look it up in their Hornady manual and post starting and max loads for me? I'd be using Hodgdon Universal Clays powder. Also please post the OAL with that bullet.
Thanks,
Mike

RE: Anyone got their Hornady Manual handy?
I'm working up that load right now for my Springfield 1911A1.
Based on data obtained from my Midway LoadMap and a couple other sources, I'm starting with 3 loads: 5.4, 5.7, & 6.1gr. - these show to be light to medium loads.
This is my 1st attempt in .45ACP (along with some 200XTPs and 185 Golden Sabers) - so Tuesday at the range will prove interesting - I can't WAIT!
Oh - for OAL, the LoadMap says 1.275" - but that didn't seem to want to cycle through the chamber, so I dropped it to 1.255". Pressures should still be safe at that level with these loads. I'll know more on working OAL when I see how these cycle when fired.
