The load given in the new Hornady manual is for the 75 Gr bulletto be shot inthe AR-15 service rifle.
Varget 19.4 gr = 2200 fps
20.4 gr = 2300
21.5 gr = 2400
22.5 gr = 2500
23.5 gr = 2600 fps which the show as max .

thanks that is what i was looking for. hodgdon lists the 22.5 load as a minimum so there is a little difference. so far the 22.5 load has shown no signs of pressure hopefully this weekend my new gun will be in and i will get to shoot some groups.

MY Lyman 48th Edition Reloading handbook lists the 75 gr. Hornady A-Max #22792 bullet. With Varget powder, suggested starting grains is 23.0 @ 2606 fps and max @ 25.6 gr. @ 2843 fps. It also indicates Varget as the most potentially accurate powder for this bullet. I don't know what twist rate you are shooting, but if you have a slow twist (i.e. 12"-14") barrel, there is a chance this bullet may not stabilize well. A faster twist ( 7"-9") is usually recommended.
