Even though I own a chronograph and use it regularly, you bring up an interesting point. I know quite a few folks who can't resist the urge to push bullets a little faster and a little faster and, quantified by the chronograph, they wind up with loaded ammo that has a "Cold Weather Loads" label on it. A lot of folks would be better off without the "speedometer" driving them to push the envelope.
