Any 8mm Mauser load data?
I have a Yugo M48 8mm Mauser. it has a redfield 3x9x40 scope, and the bolt bent down low for scope clearance. I have tried the Hornady 150 grain Sp with 50.0 grains of IMR4064. Did ok, but not that great. I am now using 175 grain Sierra's with 49.4 grains of H4895. A lot better. Just wanted to know if any one has a accurate 8mm Mauser load. Thanks, gearyr.

However, regardless, to optimize a load for YOUR RIFLE, you have to take a load and work with it to find exactly what gives the best results in YOUR RIFLE. With bullets of 175 grains or heavier, you can get good results from slower powders, as well as medium-burning ones like 4895 and 4064.
You might try some RE 19, Norma N204, RE 22, or Norma MRP. For example, I have an excellent RE 22 load for my 8X60RS and 200-grain Nosler Partition bullets. It consists of 58 grains, and is very mild, giving only 2400 FPS. You could start with 54 grains of RE 22 with a 200-grain bullet, and develop the most accurate load for your rifle bt working up (and down)from that level to see which specific amount gives the best shooting from your rifle. You can use the Speer 200-grain spitzer for load development and deer hunting, then switch to Nosler Accubonds or Partitions for a good elk/mooseload.

That is what i did in my 8x57jrs, but i've found the 200 NP's work really well for deer too, so i use them for everything in this gun...

If you are going to do most of your shooting within 200 yards, give the 170gr Hornady roundnosed bullet a try. They shoot very good in all of my 8mm usually with a near maximum load ofIMR4064. 200gr Sierra bulets have also worked well for me.
