120 grain 7mm Barnes Triple Shock?
What would this be used for? Varmint? Deer? I haven't seen any loaded but I recently saw they make bullets this light. It seems to me it would allows very fast velocities and flat trajectories...

The tsx retains a great deal of weight and penetrates extremely well.I certainly would not hesitate to use the 120gr 7mm version on deer. The 140gr 7mm tsx has shown that it does a great job on large game including elk and moose.

Tsx's Rock!
I know from hands on experience. Many actually. Here is one.
I butchered a calf elk and it sustained more trauma that anything I have ever seen before!
The wierd thing? It was shot at 450 yds from a 7mm RUM that launched 140 TSX's at a muzzle velocity of ONLY 3300 fps. My best buddy had just bought the rifle and he wanted an accurate load like the next day...so this is what I came up with. This year, since we have time, that 7mm RUM will be running the TSX.s at 3500 fps easy!
So in theory it (the 140 TSX) will be able to do the same at 600 yds that it did at 450--even though neither of us would ever shoot that far away.
