If he is recoil sensitive,put a #325 black pachmayr recoil pad on his gun.it looks good,and works real great.Some stock designs just inhibit recoil.do this and he can shoot any load out of his 06,and will be a lot better off.You acan take it to the bank. have him do it.The pad and installation can be done by your local gunsmith. vangunsmith

Thanks vangunsmith, I’ll also check that out but I’m not so sure if this recoil pad is available around here. Would you know of a place we can order the pad on line?
