Going to Canada-need info quick!
Where can I go to find info on bringing in firearm into Canada from the US? A good friend is headed to Iraq and has to give up a duck & goose hunt he booked in Saskatchewan, in mid September. I need to commit by tomorrow.
I undertstand there's a fee ($75?), but would like info on the process. If you've had experience, any tips/ do's & dont's would also be appreciated. What weather could I expect?

JoeA:
You lucked in -
sask is a fantastic place to hunt migratory birds!!
As per your request for firearms info - do a google search - gov't of canada - firearms registration - they have a 1-800 # you can call - i believe you may be able to do it online!!
Weather is , as in most places unpredictable - but usually in the west it is cool (not freezing).
Hope you are successful - and enjoy canada!!!!!!!

[quote]Call the outfitter he should have all the forms you need, There is a web site sorry but I dont remember what it is
The cost is about 35.00 usd (50 cad). advise- Just answer questions they ask (try not to be a comedian with them) and be polite & have all paper work in order and ready to go. Bring some CAD currency with you so you dont get robbed at the airport with exchange rates . I crossed the border several times with rifles and it went very smooth, but I had seen other hunters get hounded with stupid questions.
I had a moose hunt last October, the first few days we had temps in the day70s---- nights 40s
hope this helps----------GOOD LUCK

Anyone interested? I need two partners to help split the $2,500 left on the fee.
call or e-mail me. cell1 (808) 754-4213, cell2 (808) 226-3673, home: (808) 524-5382
It's short notice, but hey...I'm trying to go for it.

Papers can be picked up at the border, i believe. If u like to waterfowl hunt for 6days and its only $1,000 that includes meals and lodging and some great hunting in Manitoba, canada. You can contact Clint Beardy at LIL DEN OUTFITTER [email protected], or email and ill give you his home number.
