As of 6 am this morning the gas there is $1.16 per litre, which translates to $5.28 per gallon.

$1.16 per liter translates into $4.39 per gallon CAN. At the current exchange rate this is $3.88 USD per gallon.

Quick math lesson for you my friend.

In Canada, 1 Imperial Gallon = 4.546 litres andat $1.16 per litre=$5.27336 per gallon Canadian. I just rounded it off to $5.28.

Also as of 4PM today, if you take $5.28 Can. into any financial institution and convert it to US dollars it equals $4.60 US.

I see -I must clarify. In US we buy US Gallons and this is the basic metric anyone coming from US will use.

I thought you guys only bought Beer in British gallons!

Also - Rate today is 1.1325 CAN to the US Dollar - 19 OCT 06.

Sorry for the confusion - only my shooting is spot on!

Thank you to all... Let's hope gas doesn't go any higher but continues to drop!! Tomorrow is our Junior hunting season for Whitetail doe. I'll be taking my 12 year old son out for the first time. This should be fun!!

Same here! I am out at 4:30am with my 14 yr old - his older brother had his last youth hunt in 2005. This is the best time as a hunter, handing it down to the young ones so they can keep it up with the next generation. All my kids are ready to go Caribou also - I told them the 1st hunts on me and with 4 I will need to start saving now.

I bought gas in Nashua NH last night for 1.99$USG!

Ahhh, 1month from now we'll be on our way to La Grande, just can't seem to pass quick enough though. Anybody have any good reports? We have the rifles sighted in, our list of "must haves" gone over, the time can't seem to pass quick enough. Yep, 30 days, 23 hrs, 57 minutes to go for us.

It's been mostlybelow normal Temps here in MI for the last couple weeks, I was hoping it was likewise up there to get em going. I sure hope they get there by Thanksgiving, as I'm counting on caribou filet for dinner up there. Do or Die night for the Tigers.
