BTBowhunter,
Relax. You have the ideal dates. And realize that you are 12 hours north of amos on the tree line border. Very different geography and weather patterns. Worry more about where you will hang a shoulder mount that is 4ft wide by 4ft high!!

I just checked the weather for you in "La Grande" Quebec which is quite close to the hunting area and over the next week they are calling for temps in the -7 range with snow most days. www.theweathernetwork.com Go to quebec and scroll down to LaGrande to monitor temps up there. You can monitor various points along your route with this site. You might want to track Radisson also as its around 6 hours from your camp.

Once again Terry you have been a tremendous help. I found half a dozen weather websites that didn't have the weather for anything closer than Amos and Eastmain.

Since this is my first try at this I'll be taking my bow and my 270. Will probably take the 270 out first and make sure I get a bou then I'll spend the rest of the time hunting with the bow.
Our club has 3000 + acres in Pike and Adams counties in Illinois. I'll email you

Mullis56,
Relax. That is where they spend the winter. This is the yarding area. All the lodges offer hunts into March up there. I recommend late November/early Dec because after that it just gets to damn cold and they have no racks left as the season progresses. If you don't bag 2 nice ones I'll mail ya a roast and a rack
