Having a good hunt at Mirage this year for the opener. Animals are in small groups in the woods - plenty of horns if you have some patience and get into the field off the road. Seems they are in the wintering mode now - we saw animals going all directions and do not seem to be heading SW as normal.
Going for birds today and getting loaded up for ride back - lodge is good, food and folks - was a great hunt this year at Mirage!
Good luck to all you guys and gals heading up for the next legs.

Hey Otterland let us know how you made out when you get back. Are the lakes frozen enough for travel, enough snow for the sleds?

All rules the same for 2013/14. The only saving might be the antler rule if the fly over looks good - but they are likley to attribute a good report to this new rule and many good births with the baldies that survived.
Kind of mixed on it but keeping the blood line is what they want. We need to think Spring Turkey......
