thanks-------I'm going up in 2005. Just what to track them for awhile. Comparing my 05 dates to where they are this year.

FG,

Sorry to hear this. I hope your partner will be OK. I am off to Nouchimi in two weeks. You might want to post your dates. Some forum member might be interested in a quick trip, which may help you recover your deposit. Just a thought.

Flmguy,
Sorry to hear about your buddy. Hope he recovers to hunt again. As already said you should post an ad for the hunt here and in your local paper. Should have a good chance of recovering his deposit. I would not recommend driving up there by yourself.

Terry regarding your list:
We have a good reliable 4x4 truck gas powered
will get TONS of gas line anti-freeze
no block heater or extension cord
good tires
extra gas 20 or 25 gallons
2 way radio (were only taking one truck but maybe talk with others)
no trailer
ropes and chains
booster cables
no snow shoes (should we order some?)
orange vest (any size requirements) we have a cheap real big vest from Wally World
clothes no issue

Do have anything to add or suggest?

Thanks

This may sound basic but for guys coming from the states that are not too cold, things like checking your anti freeze (coolant) to be sure its good to -40 as well as winter grade windshield washer fluid. We also brought a small propane 2 burner camp stove that we used to heatup soup and coffee mid day for lunch. You could be 70 miles from camp and a hot lunch sure helps. If only travelling in one vehicle then a CB makes more sense than the 2 way radios. And make sure your truck is well tuned. Just be smart and respect where you are ( as remote as you can drive to ) and enjoy your trip.
