Tell her it's cheaper than Black Angus fillet and much better tasting and better for you. Sign up for next year and get some more.

LOL - I'm sure once we run out of caribou meat I'll be kicking myself for not re-booking, but I would like to hunt some other places before going back. This spring I'm going bear hunting in Quebec.

I am not so sure about the bou being cheaper than the angus if you figure all expenses divided by the pounds of meat. By my figures I could have had at least 3 and maybe 4 halves of beef for the price of the bou hunt, and the beef halves would at least double the size of bou halves. However, I would not trade the hunt, the trip, and the experience for the beef.

http://www.mrnf.gouv.qc.ca/english/publications/online/wildlife/caribou-regulations/services/safety.asp

This site has alot of information on caribou and hunting - the bottom of the list on the left you will see a reminders sheet - not a bad checklist.

Nord QC Bouman,

I'm down to 100 pounds of Caribou meat. Not sure if I can wait til 09 afterall. Do you still have spots? The week I met you last November is ideal.Any thought on Ohio...

All of the satellite based systems work in the James Bay area (OnStar, XM, Syrius).
