Oh yeah you can bet they are. Doesn't look good for us later in December though. They've already started that damn west swing. Hopefully there's enough snow to slow them down. But for a month...I don't think so.
Good luck to all of you going up in the next week or two.

Darkside - lets say they have all crossed the transtaiga rd. by dec 25 are you suggesting the hunt is over ? There's no way you could sled to them ? On previous maps it show's them hanging up @ 50-51 degrees. Educate me please !!!!!!!!

50-51 Is out of the hunt zone by a lot. You can only hunt in 22b zone. Even if they go to 22a you can't hunt there. 53 is the end of where you can hunt as a non resident. Look at the map zones are there. 22b only.

Darkside - I was not aware that you can only hunt in 22b , darn that makes my perspective a lot different . Since I asked one dumb question I may as well try a couple of more. Can someone buy there licensce and hunt 22b without staying at an outfitters? I beleive you can not park on the transtaiga rd. but is there any side rd's . la1 or la2 etc...

harness racer i believe the lodges are alloted so many licences for the season for the people that are staying at the lodges thats why they want their deposit so early the next year and they only have access to hunt zone 22b. La1&2 are the only "real" side roads to take there are a few small two tracks but you wont pass down them now they are harry the first week when there is a lot of snow. hope this helps you out if i am wrong somebody jump in and correct me?

The only ones that are allowed to camp along the road are Quebec residents and only hunt 22a. Non-residents cannot hunt there or camp. 22b is for residents and non-residents to hunt and anybody hunting in 22b must stay at an outfitter, including residents. The amount of caribou licenses that the outfitters in 22b can sell to non-residents is unlimited.
