RE: SUCESSFUL DRAWS?....ALBERTA BOYS?
Maybe I am gaining some patience as I get older as I did not call in for results, decided to wait until mail outs.
Also wanted to save the phone charges for more equipment. I phoned last Thursday and found out mailouts occurred that Friday – so I should have something in the mail late this week or early next.
God willing I’ll do OK
Also did a lot of 999 – that was a really great idea as last year I got drawn for a few tags I could not really hunt. I put them in areas where I thought I’d have little to no chance but I guess there were fewer applicants then normal in those areas because I got drawn and was sort of a waste.

my friend and myself were drawn for Camp Wainwright Deer this season. This is the only draw I got but that’s ok because I was planning on hunting a lot of general tags this year anyways with my bow.
I have never been to the Camp Wainwright range before. Does anyone know much about it? Is it really worth it in terms of success rates, etc…??

I got antlerless mule deer, non-trophy antelope, non-trophy sheep(along with my wife) and my son Ben and I are going to Camp Wainright in the muzzleloader season. Ben also got antlered and antlerless mule deer in the same zone I got the mule doe tag.
Ive been to Wainright a number of times and always enjoy it. But from what I hear from some other hunters you eather love it or hate it. There are good numbers of deer and some real big ones. Sometimes it seams like the area is crouded with hunters.
