Sightron S2 Scopes....
A friend of mine was asking me if I knew anything about these scopes..
I didn't know a thing about them so I just looked them up...
Sightron USA....Made in Japan....[&:]
Well if its made like todays Hondas....Great....
These seem quite impressive on paper.....
They boast about 7 layer lens coatings (Broadband Rev Coat 7)
Variable eye relief that is equal if not better than to Leupolds...eg.
3.5-10x44MD ...4.7-3.6 inches : 3-12x42MD ..3.6-4.2 inches..
Feature an "ExacTrack" adjust which is positive preciuse and repeatable.....
So far so good.On Paper....
The only thing I can't find is weather or not its a one piece tube......
So anyways found a Review ......
According to this guy whotested out( Burris Nikon Swarovski Tasco Simmons Ziess Bushnell ) aside from the Sightron 2.....
"THIS IS THE REAL DEAL"..THE BEST KEPT SECRET...
Scope is more than just noise, its a superb hunting scope..
Excellent Resolution and displays detail in very very low light that only
more expensive scopes can equal or better.
Their adjustments ARE POSITIVE,PRECISE and REPEATABLE.....
And OFFERS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE INDUSTRY..
He also said great things about Bushnell 3200 and 4200......Esp with the Rain Guard Feature..
BUT THE SIGHTRON2 HAS NOTICEABLY BETTER OPTICS...
Anyways..I was pretty impressed by this...
I don't think this scope is eqivalent to a Zeiss Conquest or the "OLD Leupolds", but it certainly a step above the Bushnell3200 and Leupold VX2... And in alot of aspects even hold their own if you compare them to the 4200 (service, and eye relief)and VX3 (3 piece tube, eye relief, price)....
