I got a message on my answering machine today from Snowshoe regarding my reservation for 2005 for the IBO world. The lady said that the dates had been changed to August 3rd through the 7th. Is this correct so that I can make sure of my reservations for Snowshoe. Thanks!

I called Snowshoe reservations back today and they assured me that IBO had moved the world shoot up one week to either the 3rd or 4th through the 7th of August 2005. They assured me that my reservations had been moved to reflect that change. I will arrive on Wednesday August 3rd for check in and so by that I assume that the shoot dates will be on Thursday the 4th through the 7th on Sunday as it was this year. Give Snowshoe a call at 1877-441-4386 for information.

Thats the same weekend as ASA World. This has to be a mistake.

We have talked with ASA and advised them.
I had already heard they needed to change dates. I am awaiting confirmation they have moved to the last weekend of July.
We try not to have conflicts by getting advance dates from the other archery orgs. We did need to move dates to a week earlier, many schools systems start that second week.

That is great news for us as we had to leave our daughter at home this year as her school started the same day that we left for the world championships. Perhaps the weather will be a little better a week earlier as well. The weather in Georgia would probably be better the last wek in July as well as eveidenced by two hurricanes this year already in August. I think that this is a good move and will benefit both IBO and all of us shooters as well. It was good of the folks at Snowshoe to call and let us know that they had already adjusted our reservations to accomodate the move.
