L.I. Opening Day
Today was opening day of the Long Island shotgun season and man what a day. It was nonstop at the check in station. Before I left to my stand, they had weighed in 10 deer. One was a 2 1/2 year old buck with 10 points. I can only imagine what kind of rack it would of had in 2 more years. It was a sight for sore eyes, after going through the regular season with only one buck sighted.

Hey Amayerican,
The hunting is great. Unfortunately all spots are taken but, you can go on the standby list at 8am and if anyone doesn't show up or someone comes back early, you go. They do come back early too. Before I left one guy filled all is tags with 3 deer by 11:30am
