In 2003 we harvested 62K, 2.5 + buck , which with 1 M hunters equates to 1 out of 16 hunters getting a 2.5 + buck. It also means the average hunter will only harvest a 2.5+ buck once every 16 years, not once every five years. Welcome back to the real world!!

Real world sounds great to me! 1 in 16 harvests a 2.5? Whats wrong with that?

If you consider yourself an average hunter, thats good news. To the better than average hunter, thats GREAT news!!!

What is wrong with that is that before any bucks were saved by AR one out of 19 hunters harvested a 2.5 + buck . Furthermore , 61K other hunters didn't harvest a buck so 1 out of 100 hunters could harvest a buck that was saved by AR.

2002-----165K

Better check the 2004 havest data before you but that license.

You reported the butcher was down abot 10%. The stats show the buck harvest dropped by 30% in two years.

Are you sayingyou think the buck harvest is down another 10%.

Classic DD number twisting!!!

Mantis was not referring to a 10% BUCK decrease but to an overall decrease in that butchers business. Perhaps HR is working but my butcher says 10%+or- varition in his business means nothing in any given year. A 10% at one butcher shop difference can be weather, change in herd size or just plain chance.

Context, DD, context!!!!
