I think the NJ DEP Fish & Wildfile instituted big "velvet" buck records this year.

Worked a whopping 2 hrs this morning. Cleaned out the van and loading up for tommorow. Just like a kid waiting for Christmas morning. All I need now is a doe to walk bye tomorrow. Each year I have to pass on several nice bucks because I hunt an earn a buck zone. Oh well, it's the hunt, not the kill. But it's always nice to add to the larder.

Well it was a nice morning, Weather was nice , Even had a couple of nice bucks walk by at 12 yds. Had a fok horn bed down about 25-30 yds I had to wait for him to leave before I could get down. Now if only I could find a nice doe. All in all couldn't ask for more. well maybe.

Saw 20 deer on Sat, but the only ones close enough to shoot were two fawns & a four ptr.

Went out this am & saw six deer (hunted til 9:30am) Could have shot four of them, but two were the two fawns again, one was a spike, and one was so damn early that I could bearly make it out as it walked under the stand & I couldn't tell if it was a buck or a doe!

Always Wednesday. Hanging a stand in one of the P'ton Parks tomorrow.
