RE: A hunt for NJ members ?
Thanks for the "top" spot MD/NJ. Guess we could pick one place in the south and one in the north and go from there. Any of you guys know a good public WMA in the north ? There are at least 5 in a 10mi radius of me. ie..., Thundergut , DOD ponds , Salem WMA and about 4 others right next to me. I'm in for Shotgun & Bow , have a ML but have to take the rifle & bow course before the season starts.

I know of places, But some of them you need a permit to hunt it... Like "The Delaware River Gap & the Musconetcong Gorg" are 2 really nice places to hunt...
BTW.
I know of some priv land I can hunt too...

What about assunpink WMA in central NJ. It opens early season and has a great population of deer. It has everything from hardwoods, swamps, hedgerows and farm crops.
The area where we hold our 3-D shoots has a port a john and is in the heart of the wma. Could be a great time.

Also, I'd like to see it for early bow season.
