Default Pix of PA 9pt on SGL

Here are 2 pix of a 9pt I shot the 1st day of the 2003 PA buck season. I couldn't get a shot at the 1st legal buck - this one came out about 8am. I took him w/ a Savage Model 99c 308 w/ 1 shot.

Nice buck!!! Cute little girl, too. You'll be fighting the boys off before you know it.

It was SGL 198 runs on the edge of Blair/Cambria county. There are a few places that you can get back in pretty far. Overall didn't see too many deer but was fortunate.

And as you noticed - the daughter is probably just as happy as I was. I can't wait until she is old enough to tag along. Of course - that means she will be close to the age that the boys will be calling. Ugh!

Very nice. I will forgoe seeing 30 dog-sized deer a day for an opportunity at something like that!

Mike

If you go to the County information on the PGC website - click on Blair county - you will see it along the left hand side. Unfortunately - the PGC hasn't actually loaded the map of the SGL on their site. When you click on the #198 - there is an error message. I emailed the PGC a few months ago and the response was that there are a few maps that need loaded and to keep checking back.

This link should take you to the spot I am talking about.
