I have been seeing more around the area I hunt in central PA. Since I used to work for the game commission, I taked to a couple of the food and cover guys and they said the deer seem to be around on the local gamelands, but just aren' t out in the fields as much as other years. They say the signs and everything are there, just not as much in the fields.

Down at my pap' s house there' s woods behind his house, and then there' s a little hollowed out road that goes up the middle, then a hedgerow, and on the other side of the hedgerow is a cornfield. I watch a big eight point, and what would be a six point (he' s a half-rack) walk across the road to the cornfield everynight. That 8-point won' t be walking across there next season. [:-]
