It is the Obama/Democrat tactic. False hoods!
You put a crossbow in the hands of a good bowhunter, and his success rate is going to improve damatically simply because he no longer has to draw the bow and instead will be slipping the safety off, pointing the weapon and squeezing off the trigger. And that is where the biggest statistic will come from, the number of compounders switching over to a crossbow.

Wrong sport! Check your facts. It's from a direct quote from the BOC minutes during discussion. It was taken directly from the correspondence by hunters.

No poll, no pro or anti xbow group. This 90% was fron the responses as admitted t bye BOC members before the vote.

How many people wrote in for this 90%?
Now there are over 900k in hunters out there, and I am sure that the little group who complained could not over whelm the ones who could care less one way or another if Xbows was allowed by not writting in to voice their opinion. So the majority of the hunters was for the Xbow or didn't care one way or another if Xbows was introduced.
I would say all the gun hunters would approve crossbows because they could care less.
So I can honestly say that the majority of hunters wanted the Xbow. If they didn't, they would of voiced their opinions and your write ins would of been alot higher. Again, what is the number of people that made it the 90%? Maybe 100 people?

How many wrote in? Every single one who cared enough to have his voice heard. The number was in the thousands. Did you write or call? It doesnt matter what you think the opinion of others would have been. The opinion of those who cared was 90% against and 10% for. Dance around the facts all you like. The fact is that 90% were against.

Wrong again. I'm a gun hunter and I care alot. The more they dumb down the archery season, the more bucks that will be harvested. The more bucks harvested in October and November, means less bucks in the firearm season.

I care alot and I wrote. Unfortunately, there were 4 morons that threw common sense by the wayside and voted with wreckless abandon.

Honestly...is anyone else just plain tired of hearing about it by now? "Hey...I'll be original and start another let's birch about the crossbows thread. Then everyone can repeat what they've already said ten times previously on the subject." The BOC voted it in. It is here now, like it or not. And I don't like it. But I'm tired of everyone beating the dead horse already. I alreadydespised the BOC long before the xbow issue, for unwarranted statewide blanket HR, for talking out both sides of their mouth, for believing they deserve a license increase while their aproval rating is in the toilet, for holding hands with the enemies of hunting, and so on and so on. Did anyone really expect them to something right. I think I'm done reading those topics for a while. It'd be different if the pGC gave two bits waht any of us think anymore. I say we all boycott all licenses for two years. Obviously the butt kissers would still buy them, but that would amount to like 3% of the usual revenue. Put our money where our mouth is . I would do it if it looked like enough would join me. Until we are ready to puirsue DRASTIC measures we will see no change. Btw, this goes for our dear special friends in Washington, too. It's about time to show them we're done putting up with the crap.

I wonder if you take the same perspective when we are talking about the disapproval rating of the game commission because of herd reduction?

Good point Steel! There is nothing left to argue at this point. The crossbow issue is now done with. It has become a wait and see what happens.

I'm not happy about crossbows but I won't lose any sleep over it.Im also pretty much sick of arguing about it so I'll mostly just ignore those discussions.I'm more than happy with the deer hunting prospects on public land in 2G.I bought my lisence back in June and I have a pocket full of dmaps to fill.I depleted last years venison supply over the weekend and I look forward to srating the process all over again. You guys work on doing something drastic.I'll work on renewing some solitude by matching wits with some mountain whitetils next month.Have a great and safe season.
