You are simply wrong! There a number of studies that have demonstrated that spikes are not inferior and that with time they can realize the same physical and antler potential of young bucks who have branch antlers or small basket racks. For me this pissing match is over.
I apologize to the gentleman who initiated the Fisher thread. As a point of information I have seen two fisher's in the last three years in the catskill mountains of New York state. In 25 plus years in our woods and mountains I had never seen any previously.
Studies and science mean nothing to the Bluebird. He either dismisses them, reinvents the results or declares them to be biased.

That is not what the studies showed. It showed that some spikes will equal branched antlerled bucks at 4.5 years. It did not show that all spikes are equal to 1.5 6 pts. or 8pts. for the rate of antler development.

not all 4 points would be equil 8 next yr either
not all 6 points would be 8 or 10`s next yr
so whats your point on spikes bb that they all should be killed?

I sure am glad you agree that spikes are inferior for the rate of antler development . If you want to add y bucks and 6 pts. that's your choice.
