Ya im so happy that passed, i wrote a letter a while ago about this, wonder if that actually worked! If you read the bill you have to be with an adult still with 3 years XP if not a family member or sumthing. And another thing, no treestands till your 16 years old still for firearm big game hunting.

Its a great thing, boy my oldest will be upset though. He just turned 16 last fall, and was able to Big Game hunt w/gun for the 1st time. Now his younger brother can start this fall w/gun. I'll enjoy having my youngest sitting next to me this Nov. opener.
I do wish they'd lower the bow age to 12 yrs old now. I never ever understood why I can take my kids small game turkey hunting with a gun at age 12, but they have to wait until age 14 to bowhunt Big Game. Never made any sense to me.

I agree. My 12 yr old doesn't want to hunt with a gun. He is all about his bow. Loves shooting it. He has been shooting from a 15' ladder stand for 2 yrs now but he is also 5'7" and 180 lbs at 12. Maybe we will get a lower bow age soon.
