2008 antlerless allocations
Here is a link to the 2008 antlerless allocations

Notice how the herd health has dramatically improved in just one year. All but 3 WMUs have miraculously reached their target goal and two of the other 3 WMUs are above the target goals. Can anyone explain how a herd can be so healthy that it exceeds the PGC goals for herd health.

RE: 2008 antlerless allocations
The CAC recommended that the herd be allowed to increase, but the PGC said the herd should remain stable, so the allocation was the same as in 2007. Therefore the herd in 1b will not be allowed to increase even though that the herd health was above the targeted goal.

RE: 2008 antlerless allocations
I'll admit it is a little start haveing no doe hunting the first week in a few areas but the game commission is still just giving back a fraction of what they took! I personally think that still haveing a week of doe hunting is entirely to much and is not going to help the herd a whole lot. Everyone thinks this is a good deal and the game commission is coming to there senses but just think about before when you only had 3 days. It's like gas going up to 3.50 a gallon then when if goes back to 3.25 people think they are getting a good deal. Just my 2 cents
