We don't have anywhere near 5 dpsm in this state.I live and hunt in 2G where the lowest deer densities are occuring.I hunt where there's adequate food and cover and I have no problems finding and killing multiple deer on public landin this unit.

The same goes for our gang in 2F, 2D and 2B here! And yes, I'm talking public as well as "open to the public" private land!

Look at the PGC plan. Reduce the herd by 60-70% if they already haven't done so. Reduce it by 80-90% like they have done in 4c. Then we will have a very small herd that many many will give up trying to hunt. Hunting is a sport enjoyed by millions across the country. Used to 1,000,000 in PA. Down 20% over the past years. Now the great state of PA has a wonderful small healthy herd of deer that no longer provides a sport to a 1,000,000 people. Don't forget all of the B&C deer we all see.LOLOLOLOL

How could this be a good goal for our state???

Hunting is for the hunters not the hunted. We stock streams and fields to enjoy the sport, now we are trying to eliminate one of the only wild animals we have left.

I never ever would have thought that I would be interested in joining forces with an anti-PGC group. But if any organization anywhere in the US was being run into the ground like this one is you have to take action.

Where do I sign up!!!!!

Nope, the plan is to reduce the herd until the habitat starts to show positive signs of recovery in areas where there were way too many deer for way to long.In other areas, the goal is to reduce or stabilze the herd so that kind of damage doesn't occur.

Herd reductions are needed because without good habitat, our game populations will plummet with or without the bullets.Come up and check out the northern tier and you'll understand what I'm talking about.

We have fantastic habitat and plenty of farmland. Why do we need to reduce the herd to such numbers?

First of all, farmland is not considered deer habitat. Why should farmers be forced to lose profits to satisfya hobby enjoyed by less than 8% of the population. You won't have excellent habitat for long is youhave too many deer.

PA harvest for 2007: 361,560 deer in 22 WMU's is approx 14,434 avg deer per WMU.

PAharvested almost 4K more deer(per WMU avg)than my whole state, all seasons combined!!

I'd say that you guys still have enough deer to hunt.
