all comments you folks talk about are happening.
overharvest of doe here in WMU2G is bringing end to our hunting.
with the end will come more groups that will take over and control woods, that is not good.

as for doe tags, anyone that took a doe in wmu2g, should be ashame of themselves.
ones with DMAP tags who got 5 /10 doe last year, they are in HALL OF FAME OF SHAME...

this year i hardly saw FAWN,SOME WILL SAY ITS DO TO LACK OF FEED AND TOO MANY DOE..
again, their opinion.

what i am seeing is when a fawn is born, coyotes/bear are killing bulk of them.

when we had more doe, there was more fawns, and very few coyotes but still bear.

i hope you got to see picture of the dead fawns in a coyote den that local guide for bass pro shop took in pa.he was from lock haven,pa.i believe if i recall he found over 20 fawns in den.then you have hunters that kill a fawn, what is left.

i asked the late muzzleloader hunters how many doe they found with fawns in them.
most said they found a fawn in the stomach after cleaning, makes you sick just to tell this info.

sorry, i cant continue........................................

sproulman....I usually read your comments and just shake my head, but you have really unveiled yourself when you made the comment about hunters with DMAP tags taking 5-10 deer. How perposterous. Are you sure you know how the DMAP allocations work? I can see the remote possibility of a single hunter holding 5 DMAP tags, but 10??? Come on, now..... and even in the event that this could even possibly transpire, you'd have to be an awfully busy and fortunate hunter to fill them all. I'm raising the BS flag on this one for sure!!!

oh yesssssssssssss.

no BS.

i think this year you could only get 2 or 3 dmap tags here in clinton, i think it was 5 in lycoming per person.centre, i dont know total .
a year or 2 ago, you could get 6 dmap, i believe in clinton county.
then throw in 1 or 2 doe tags per person.

i agree with you, its harder to fill tags now but in last 5 years, some did.
my neighbor had 5 deer in his garage, all legal a few years ago and he only hunted 2 weeks of season in 3 countys.

ones that do this have COMP TIME coming,1 is friend of mine.he is ice fishing EVERYDAY,he gets 2 months off in winter or in deer season.
he gets about 2 months off for comp time,he used it for fishing this year instead of all in deer season.

also the price of dmap went up to 10 dollars but they still got DMAPS as many as they could and also for their KIDS TOO..

they were even mad that only 2 were given for clinton and 5 for lycoming county per person.thats 7 tags.

every DMAP was sold in first round in clinton , so they only got 2 instead of maybe 4 ea.

yes, i think its harder for these guys now but a few years ago, they filled them all and they are still loading up on them.

i saw MANY hunters day in and day out driving from dubois to centre/clinton DMAP area on rt.144.
they were there at dawn and left at dark, day in/day out.
they even made same drives 3 times, over and over again until they cleaned out what was there.
they were there in early muzzleloader season with their INLINES banging away, then off to another county..

it must be nice to have wife that puts up with this, not many do.

when the DMAP came out here in SPROUL area years ago, you could almost hunt anywhere and there was more deer, now areas are not as widespread but still large.

deer are less,so much harder to fill all those tags as was done before.

Driving from DuBois to Center/Clinton cos. to shoot deer in DMAP areas???Come on!! They would be driving right past prime areas very close to home...areas 18, 312 and 305 in Moshannon S.F. just for starters. Now I suppose you are going to tell me that those areas were sold out when they applied. I believe 312 was the only area that was sold out before the second round was offered, and this is the first year that has happened.
You broadcast twisted half-truths and downright out-and-out BS. And another thing...It is my understanding that you are only allowed a maximum of two DMAPs per area per person, and that is PER DMAP AREA, NOT PER COUNTY as you allude to in your previous post. Gonna make it a little hard for someone to hold 5 or 6 DMAPs for an area. Do the math. If you can...........

I've got a great idea for the mods and Admin. Huntingnet has a very good profanity filter, all we need now is a BS filter!

Just how many DMAP tags can one hunter get ? Can he get two from each land owner ?

Qualified landowners participating in DMAP, receive a limited number of coupons (determined by acreage) that they will make available to hunters, who, in turn, may redeem them for a DMAP antlerless deer permit to hunt on the property for which they are issued. Hunters may use them during any established deer hunting season for 2007-2008. Coupons are issued to landowners at a rate of one coupon for every five acres in agricultural operations, or one coupon for every 50 acres for all other landowners.
Important Points
[ol][*]Under no circumstances may an antlered deer be taken with a DMAP permit.[*]Landowners may not charge or accept any contribution from a hunter for a DMAP coupon.[*]Hunters may not obtain more thantwo DMAP permit per property. However, DMAP permits do not impact a hunters' eligibility to apply for and receive antlerless deer licenses issued for Wildlife Management Units (WMUs). DMAP permit allotments are not part of the annual general antlerless deer license allocations for WMUs.[*]Hunters must mail completed DMAP coupons, along with a check or money order made payable to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, to the address listed on the coupon to receive their DMAP antlerless deer permit. The fee for the coupon is $10 for residents and $35 for nonresidents. The permit can be used to harvest one antlerless deer on the specific DMAP property.[*]All DMAP antlerless deer permit holders are required to report, regardless of deer harvest success, using the provided report card or via the website at www.pgc.state.pa.us by February 8, 2008.[/ol]

This past year I got 4 dmap tags all within 3 miles of my house in 2G and another one in an area in southern Cameron county.I had a great year in 2G.Some days I saw no deer and some daysI saw quite a few.As usual however,I saw very few hunters in some spots and no sign of hunters in other areas.Once again,I made Sprouls hall of shame by killing 4 doe and a nine point in 2G.I also killed another doe in 3c.Guess what Sproul?I still feel no guilt about it.Hunters are having very little effect on the deer herd in most places where I hunt because there's not enough people hunting these areas.I hunted one public dmap'd area the last two years and killed 4 deer in 5 days of hunting.

DOUGE,reason you are seeing SOME deer and very few hunters is because MOST sportsman are not shooting a DOE.
you are hurting future hunting for us and kids.

yes, you are in HALL OF SHAME,for sure.
