yyea around the albany area, i havent seen any dead but ive gone to the DEC website and it said that biologist have discovered EHD in about 20 deer, so yea we do need a frost so it can kill it off

I just went for a ride here in the Finger Lakes Region of NY. There were many bucks out chasing does. Looks like the cold weather flipped the switch.

I drive 90 east bound to work from Eden/Angola to Batavia, and every morning i see bucks trailing doe, and the hunters around the Alabama swamps are saying that there is a ton of rut activity going on. And i am seeing it in the Southern tier.

It is supposed to get very cold towards the end of the week. I am heading out to the Cooperstown area for TR-Monday hunting for my only NYS hunting this season.Hopefully it stays cold and gets those buck moving!
